Rad Adventures Intermediate Summer Bike Camp - Ages 9 - 13
Our Summer Intermediate Bike Camp is an exciting and action-packed program designed for young riders who already have some experience with biking and want to further develop their cycling skills. The camp provides a supportive and fun environment where participants can build confidence, learn new techniques, and enjoy a variety of outdoor activities centered around biking. Swimming and Splash pad days will be on certain designated days, which will be outlined in our Welcome Letter.
Key Features:
Skill Development: Campers will receive focused instruction on intermediate cycling skills, including improving their handling, navigating different terrain types (gravel, dirt, and paved paths), learning efficient gear shifting, and mastering bike control techniques such as cornering, braking, and balance.
Safety and Bike Maintenance: Campers will learn the basics of bike safety, including proper helmet fitting and how to perform simple bike repairs. This includes adjusting brakes and fixing flat tires to ensure they are prepared for any situation on the road or trail.
Trail Rides and Exploration: The camp includes guided trail rides through local parks, bike paths, and off-road trails. Campers will explore scenic areas, develop endurance, and practice their skills in real-world environments, all while cultivating a love for outdoor cycling.
Team Challenges and Competitions: In addition to individual skill development, campers will participate in friendly challenges and team-based cycling games that foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and friendly competition.
Pump Track: Instruction on the proper techniques for utilizing our ramps and advancing your skills on the pump track.
Fun and Games: To keep the camp exciting, there will be bike-related games and obstacle courses designed to challenge participants in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Breaks for snacks, hydration, and socializing with new friends will also be included.
Supervision and Support: Experienced coaches will guide campers throughout the camp, ensuring safety, providing personalized feedback, and keeping the group engaged and entertained.
By the end of the week, campers will have enhanced their cycling abilities, learned valuable bike maintenance skills, and gained a deeper appreciation for mountain biking.

This letter will contain important information about the camp schedule, procedures, and any additional details you need to prepare for your child's upcoming experience. Along with the welcome letter, there will be forms to complete, including medical information and other essential details, which we kindly ask you to fill out and return promptly to ensure we have all the necessary information to provide the best care and support for your child during the camp.
