Loree Forest Summer Camp - Beginner/Intermediate

Rad Adventures Mountain Camp for ages 7-11

Our camp is designed to elevate the child's cycling skills, build confidence, and explore single track trails in a supportive and fun environment. Designed for those who have some experience and are ready to take on new challenges, this camp focuses on developing technical abilities, improving bike handling, and fostering a love for mountain biking.

Qualifications: The rider will need basic understanding of mountain biking and are comfortable riding trails. Ideal candidates have previously completed a beginner-level  camp or have equivalent experience, such as riding on green and some blue trails. They will ride at least 10 km per day.

  • Skill Development: Each day includes focused sessions on crucial skills such as cornering techniques, climbing strategies, and descending control. Riders will participate in drills and exercises tailored for intermediate abilities, helping them refine their technique and build confidence on varied terrain.

  • Trail Riding: Participants will explore a variety of trails that challenge their growing skills. Riders will experience diverse terrains, from flowy singletracks to rooty and rocky sections, allowing them to apply what they learn in real-world settings.

  • Bike Maintenance Workshops: Riders will learn the fundamentals of bike maintenance, including proper cleaning, basic repairs, and how to perform safety checks before hitting the trails. Understanding their bike will enhance their riding experience and instill confidence in their mechanical skills.

  • Group Rides and Teamwork: Campers will ride in carefully supervised groups to promote camaraderie and teamwork. By riding together, they’ll learn to support each other, share tips, and celebrate each other’s progress.

  • Trail Safety and Etiquette: Understanding trail etiquette is essential for any mountain biker. Campers will participate in discussions about safety measures, right-of-way rules, and environmental stewardship, ensuring they become responsible riders who respect nature and fellow cyclists.

  • Personalized Coaching: Our experienced instructors provide individual feedback to each camper, offering tailored tips and encouragement to help them progress at their own pace. Small group sizes ensure personalized attention and support.

  • Fun Challenges and Games: To enhance the learning experience, campers will engage in friendly competitions and games that reinforce skills in a fun way. These activities will also help to build group dynamics and foster new friendships.

IMPORTANT -Please note that some of our camps are dependent on weather conditions. If we need to cancel a camp day due to inclement weather, such as heavy rain, strong winds, or thunderstorms that make the trails unsafe for riders, you will be notified by 7:30 AM that morning. If a cancellation occurs, a credit will be issued, which can be used for any camps or programs throughout the year and does not expire.
