Description:
Rad Camp is about building confidence on a bike — and having a ton of fun! Based out of Rad Adventures’ Petun location right beside 3 Stage, this camp teaches intermediate mountain bike skills and is a ton of fun! Participants will spend the week exploring 3 Stage mountain bike area and building skills with a group that moves within the intermediate skill levels. Expect your child to learn to navigate the complex trail system at 3 Stage, while building their riding skills and learning forest and outdoor values and skills.

Our focus is on building mountain bike skills, safety, and knowledge. All camps combine a mix of activities that support overall health, wellness, and fitness, and field games among others.

Each day our coaches teach our participants new skills on their bikes!

Expect your child to learn:

  • Proper riding techniques, from brake usage, to cornering to where to look while riding, to tackling advanced terrain.
  • Trail etiquette.
  • Basic mechanic skills—from how to put a chain back on, to how to fix a flat tire, use tools and adjust components.
  • Use of equipment, nature and forest values, and that mountain biking is a sport that will keep them healthy, happy and strong their entire lives.

Participants will also practice their skills (and try out rad jumps) on our Radtrax ramps! Your child will learn the thrill and joy of mountain biking—in a supportive and safe environment.
